Tips to Stay Hydrated in the Summer Heat

The summer heat is upon us! During these hot and sweltering days, it’s more important than ever to stay hydrated. When it’s hot outside, we sweat more and the need to replenish fluids is increased. Every single cell of your body needs water to function properly. To prevent dehydration, experts suggest drinking 1 to 1.5 liters water daily. This may sound like a lot, but by implementing the right habits, you will be able to get your water intake up, prevent dehydration, and feel great!   1. Water is best. Good old H2O is the best fluid to hydrate your body over other drinks like juice, or even Gatorade. If you don’t love the taste of plain water, try adding a slice of lemon or other fruits to add some flavor.
